TRO Is Now On Twitter!
A couple of weeks ago, I created a Twitter account for the club: https://twitter.com/TulsaRepeaters, or @TulsaRepeaters..  If you are on Twitter, follow us to get updates on club events and activities, or news of important developments in amateur radio.

#####
May TRO Foxhunt
Kelly Walls, KD5HPG won the March Foxhunt, but no one found him in April, so he will still be the Fox on Saturday 21 MAY 16.  He will be on the 146.880 repeater, and he WILL NOT be hiding in Chandler Park.  I encourage everyone to come out to join the fun!

Interested in Net Control training?

The Tulsa ARES organization is offering training to become a net control operator (NCO).  NCO’s are critically important to our ability to conduct proper nets during emergencies.  We are looking for ARES members that want to learn how to run a net.  The training will include an overview of NCO’ duties and best practices along with a place in a rotation that will allow practice.  Experienced NCO’s will be your mentors and help you along the way.

If you are interested please contact Paul Teel, WB5ANX@arrl.net, Ray Young (K5CFY) at broncoman351@sbcglobal.net, or Ben Joplin (WB5VST) at benj1@aol.com.  Date, time and location TBD.

#####
Camp Bandage 21 MAY 16
The TRO will be one of around 80 exhibitors at this safety / first aid education and emergency response / preparation event.  The location is the same as last year, Chisholm Trail South Park, 4000 E New Orleans, Broken Arrow OK.
(East of 101st & the Creek Turnpike, on the other side from the NSU-BA campus.  The turnpike does cross 101st at two places, this is the eastern crossing in southeast Broken Arrow)
I will need volunteers to help with presenting ham radio to the public.  I have received confirmation that we have a 10’ x 10’ tent, and room for 3 or 4 vehicles.  Ray Young, K5CFY, will bring out the Sub Club tower trailer, and Ben Joplin will bring out his mast and the Command Post radio box.  Stay tuned for details.
You can volunteer or follow details at the Facebook event page:
