WHAT'S IN YOUR KIT?
Remember those credit card commercials that asked, "What's in YOUR wallet?" Well, we're not being nosey or trying to sell you something, but we are looking for members to bring out their go-bags or go-kits for a bit of Show & Tell. Someone else might get a good idea for their own kit, or you might pick up an idea or two yourself!
I admit, I don't have much of a go-kit myself, but I have put together a portable station that I will discuss at the meeting. Come out an find out what’s in the picture on the Facebook event page for the meeting:

TRO Membership Fees Due!
That time of year again. Time to break out the checkbook and fire up the ink pen, write out a check, address and stamp an envelope, and snail mail it to the address above. Or you could take your check or cash to the TRO hamfest booth and pay in person.
What if you want to do it the 21st Century way, online? Well, if you have a PayPal account, you can. I know, because I did it that way. You sign in to your account, select the Send and Request feature, then select Pay for Goods or Services.. The system will ask for an email. Use wa5lvt@tulsahamradio.org. Then once you’ve entered the correct email, set the amount to $25.00 US, add the description, “2016 TRO Membership Dues for < your name & callsign >,” designate the checking account or debit/credit card you wish to use, and submit.
Both you and Steve should receive confirmation emails when the payment is processed. If you need additional help, contact me or Steve.

Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon Special Event
The Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon, better known as the 'Run To Remember', was established in 2001 to remember 'those who were killed, those who survived, and those changed forever' by the Murrah Federal Building bombing on 19 April, 1995. The amateur radio community supports the Marathon with over 80 radio operators providing public safety and logistics communication.
A special event operation, inaugurated in 2015, will return this year to commemorate the Marathon and share the celebration of the "Run To Remember" with the world-wide amateur radio community.
The Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon Special Event begins at 0000Z, 16 April till 1900Z, 24 April. Amateur radio operators within the State of Oklahoma are eligible to operate as a Marathon Special Event Station under the call sign N5M.
If you wish to operate as a Marathon Special Event Station, contact one of the following event administrators to register your station:
WA9AFM - wlmailhtml:wa9afm@arrl.net
NE5SD - wlmailhtml:steve.ne5sd@gmail.com
On race day, a station will also be on the air at Mile Marker 13 (halfway point) on the race course to close out the event.
