Merger Discussion Follow-Up
The discussion was mostly positive Tuesday night. The process is now seen not just as a merger, but a consolidation of assets and efforts into a single entity. Items from the discussion will be incorporated into a proposal document that will be presented at the club’s meetings this month. Then the clubs will mail out ballots, with a return deadline around 15 FEB 16. If the merger/consolidation is approved, the legal aspects of the process should be completed by Green Country Hamfest, with structural and operational details to be worked out later. I strongly recommend attending the meetings to learn more about the proposal in order to make an informed vote.
My job as Public Relations / Public Information officer will likely change. I will continue this Bulletin, but parts of its name may change and I might have to use a different distribution channel.

NWS Skywarn Storm Spotter Training 2016
The schedule for spotter training for 2016 has begun. Tulsa County has three sessions scheduled. The first is 1900 (7 PM) 26 JAN 16 at the Case Community Center in Sands Springs. The second is 0900 (9 AM) 20 FEB 16 (tentatively) at the OU Schusterman Center, 41st & Yale. The Broken Arrow ARC along with BA Emergency Management will host the 3rd session on 07 JAN 16 at 1900 (7 PM) at the NSU Broken Arrow Campus, Education Building, 3100 East New Orleans.
