Merry
(White)
Christmas!
The Tulsa
National
Weather
Service
Office is
expecting
snow to
occur on
Christmas
Day in
Eastern
Oklahoma and
Northwestern
Arkansas.
Current
models show
the heaviest
amounts are
likely to
fall south
of I-40 and
over
Northwestern
Arkansas.
Maybe a good
time to
check your
vehicle,
your go-kit
and your
radios!
No matter
whether you
see a few
flakes or a
ton
(regardless
of if they
come from
the sky or
your family
tree), or
whether if
you have to
get out to
help or you
get to stay
safe in your
house, I
wish every
one of you a
Very Merry
Christmas!
Book
Recommendation
During this time of
year, I often post items
about EMCOMM training
because the calendar for
scheduled activities
usually clears up for a
while. Except for
routine meetings and
holiday events, we don't
have much else going,
except for an occasional
winter storm, and this
is a good time to get in
those recommended ICS
courses. Well, to give
you a head start on
those, I have here a
link to the NIMS core
document, which covers
not only the Incident
Command System, but the
National Incident
Management System as
well. I recommend you
download it and keep it
handy as a reference.
You will have to
clipboard the link into
a fresh browser window
or tab. Here's the
link:

50 km, on trails on the
Lodge property. Sunday

paved and gravel roads.
The TRO will again
provide communications
for this event. For
more information about
the event itself, check
their website:
Spotter Training
Schedule
The Tulsa National
Weather Service Office
has already posted their
Storm Spotter Training
Schedule for 2013. It
does not have a large
number of dates listed
yet, but it does show a
couple for Tulsa
County already. Sands
Springs will have a
session on Tuesday,
February 5, 2013 at the
Case Community Center at
7 PM. Tulsa
is listed for
Saturday, February 16,
2013. I'm sure that
Broken Arrow will have
their session on the
first Monday in March.
Keep an eye on the
schedule here:

Request For Feedback
For the Bulletin to continue to be the useful tool I intend it to be, I need your feedback. I need to know of any items that I should add, remove or change. I will consider all suggestions.
Plus any comments about the quality or the handling of the Bulletin will be appreciated.
Please send any comments, corrections, additions, etc., to kc5zqm@cox.net. DO NOT send them as a reply to the WA5LVT Yahoogroup, unless you want the entire group to see them before I have a chance to review them.
