Boy Scout Festival,  22 SEP 12
The Boy Scout Fall Festival is a one day event at Camp Russell in Broken Arrow.  Two operators are needed to demonstrate amateur radio to the Scouts.  One shouild be a General or Extra class so you have more HF frequency capabilities. Bart Pickens, N5TWB and Ben Joplin, WB5VST expressed an interest in working this event, at the last TRO meeting. They might even take along the ARES Go-Kit radio used at Field Day for the GOTA station.  The event is from 1000 to 1500 (10 AM to 3 PM), so set up should probably begin around 0900.  To volunteer, contact Tom Stroud, KD5OPH at KD5OPH@tulsahamradio.org, or call 918-695-3735.

Simulated Emergency Test, Saturday 06 OCT 12
ARES Oklahoma is working on plans for the annual Simulated Emergency Test coming up on Saturday 06 OCT 12.  Details will be posted through the ARESOK Yahoogroup.  If you aren't yet a member of ARES Oklahoma, you can sign up to volunteer, and to receive email notices from the Yahoogroup at http://www.aresok.org/.  I will add details to the Bulletin as they become available.

Route 66 Marathon, 17 - 18 NOV 12
The TRO will provide communications for this event on both Saturday and Sunday.  Volunteers can sign up to work either day, or both days.
The 5K and Fun Run will be run on Saturday November 17, 2012, and both will start and finish at Veteran's Park at 19th and Boulder.  These runs are primarily for practice for those runners not sure they want to do a full marathon, or they extra training before the main event.
The Marathon, Half Marathon and Marathon Relay will be run on Sunday November 18, 2012.  All Sunday races start at 7th and Main and finish at Veteran's Park.
For more information about the event itself, check their website: http://route66marathon.com/.
