Hot Enough Fer Ya?
You can always count on it getting hot in Oklahoma in the summer. Even when we don't get into the triple digits, the humidity can still make things miserable. The typical health advice is to stay cool and stay hydrated. Remember that the heat and hunidity can affect your radios as well. We have already seen where the heat has affected at least one repeater. Keep in mind how the weather can affect your equipment, and when things cool down, you might benefit from giving your equipment a good inspection, especially the connectors. I also recommend keeping your equipment clean and dust free, because dust and dirt can interfere with cooling fans and heat sinks, and hold in the heat longer.
Repeater Updates
The 146.880 Liberty Fire remote receiver has been relocated to Keetonville, but it still needs some work. Once it is up and running, the Engineering Committee will take a look at the Skiatook receiver to see if it needs to be reconfigured to maximize coverage, especially to the south and west.
The 146.805 repeater might be staying put at Autumn Oaks. If it does move, it will likely move to Skyline East.
If help is needed in these projects, I will post the information here as it becomes available. For more information, or to volunteer, contact Steve Miller, AA5V at steveaa5v@yahoo.com or call (918) 381-8574.

Request For Feedback
For the Bulletin to continue to be the useful tool I intend it to be, I need your feedback. I need to know of any items that I should add, remove or change. I will consider all suggestions.
Plus any comments about the quality or the handling of the Bulletin will be appreciated.
Please send any comments, corrections, additions, etc., to kc5zqm@cox.net. DO NOT send them as a reply to the WA5LVT Yahoogroup, unless you want the entire group to see them before I have a chance to review them.
