Tulsa County Skywarn Training
The Tulsa NWS office has 1 Skywarn spotter training session remaining for Tulsa County: 1900 (7PM), 05 MAR 12 at the Broken Arrow Community Center. Please be aware that seating for this one usually turns out to be standing room only. For other training sessions, see the calendar available at this link: http://www.srh.noaa.gov/tsa/?n=spotter_training.
Green Country Just Days Away
The 2012 edition of the Green Country Hamfest is next weekend!. I believe this is the 11th year in a row the hamfest will be held at the Claremore Expo Center, 400 Veterans Parkway. Looks like the same great vendors from previous years will be there, and the forum schedule has an interesting lineup. Check out the details at www.greencountryhafest.org. Hope you have been saving up your nickels and pennies!
The TRO will have a table there, and will need members to keep an eye on it. If you can help with that, contact Stan Callahan, KE5HPB at ke5hpb@tulsahamradio.org.
I'm looking forward to hamfest this year! See ya thar!
All Quiet on the Storm Front...
Yeeah, RIGHT! Friday's outbreak reminded people of the storms that struck Mississippi, Alabama, and Gerorgia last year. Some have said the set up compared to the setup for the April 1974 Super Outbreak. What it reminded me of was the Super Tuesday Outbreak in 2008, mainly because this Tuesday is Super Tuesday. Quite a number of states, including Oklahoma, will hold their presidential primaries that day. In case you're wondering which is worse, political storms or atmospheric storms, consider that all atmospheric storms do dissipate.
However, atmospheric storms can do their damage a lot faster. We are looking at an early and active storm season this year. Spotter or not, if you aren't prepared for it, NOW is the time to start getting ready!

Request For Feedback

For the Bulletin to continue to be the useful tool I intend it to be, I need your feedback. I need to know of any items that I should add, remove or change. I will consider all suggestions.

Plus any comments about the quality or the handling of the Bulletin will be appreciated.

Please send any comments, corrections, additions, etc., to
kc5zqm@cox.net. DO NOT send them as a reply to the WA5LVT Yahoogroup, unless you want the entire group to see them before I have a chance to review them.
